Mazatlan

Mazatlan, one of the largest ports in the Pacific coast.

Location

It is located south of the state of Sinaloa, 212 km southeast of Culiacan, the capital of that entity. The weather is warm with an average annual temperature of 25°C.

Known as the "Pearl of the Pacific" for its beautiful beaches and its rich marine life that have become home to major fishing tournaments like the Bisbee's Billfish Classic, this destination combines traditional architecture of its historic center, known as Old Mazatlan, where you can admire the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and tour its beautiful streets decorated with old buildings of XIX Century, with modern hotels and restaurants that make the spectacular Golden Zone, equipped with over 10 km of beautiful beaches, like Playa Norte, Playa Gaviotas and Playa Venados, ideal for surfing, diving and sport fishing marlin and sailfish. Here you'll also find sites with lush natural resources such as the Cerro del Creston, where you can practice activities such as ecotourism and climbing, reaching its peak, where is a lighthouse considered as the second natural beacon, after the Crag of Gibraltar and great golf courses, overlooking the sea and two marinas that offer docking and maintenance services for all types of boats.

Among the cultural and sporting events taking place in this port includes: the International Golf Tournament "Jesus Arnoldo Millan”, the Grand International Tennis Tournament, the Mazatlan Cultural Festival and the Arts Festival of Sinaloa and the "Carnival of Mazatlan”, one of the most famous in the world, held in late February, for a week, you can dance through the streets to the beat of the drum, while the cheerful presence of the floats pass that march through the main squares and avenues of the port until late in the morning of the next day.
